Default Hi all!

hi everyone. i am terrified of letting people know how big i am and equally terrified of failing on this diet. i am 29 years old and a heart attack waiting for a place to happen. my wife and i started on monday and i just can't seem to stick with this low carb thing. if anyone has any helpful secrets to stay going, please let me know - my life depends on my losing weight and i want to be around for a few more years!! thanks.....

btw. it's not all that bad, i just thought i'd come right out with the honest state of things.....

Default Stick with it!!!

Hello Mr Joshua

All I can say is that it gets easier. Just stick with it for a week or so and you will wonder why you doubted it.

Saying that you do have bad moments but not nearly as many as at the start.

Hey Mr Joshua,

It will get easier. Get through induction cleanly and follow it to a T and the cravings and carb withdrawls will subside. I promise you that the hardest part of learning to eat this way is the induction phase. Once you have lost the withdrawl symptoms....you will notice you no longer have cravings the way you did prior to beginning. The other thing is that after you complete induction, you can move onto ongoing weight loss if you choose too. This opens up a whole new host of foods and food ideas for you.

I have to tell you.....if I can do this.....anyone can! It really is worth giving it the two weeks and then you can re-evaluate things then.

Wishing you and your wife much success!

Jo

Hi and welcome to you.

This is a great way to get healthy and slowly get to your goal weight.

Also finally eating without the guilt is so helpful that have that stigma attached to food.

I look forward to reading your successes here.
