Question Where can you get Atkins Vitanutrients in OZ?

Does anyone take Atkins vitanutrients? They seem to be helpful in the book. My weight isn't budging and I've been on this program for nearly a month.....at Induction.
Thought some of his Vitanutrients may help. I'm on herbal stuff by Sandra Cabot ( Syndrome X and a good mulitvitamin)....I'm getting desperate to lose some weight.

I don't know where you can get Atkins nutrients, but you could try GNC as they stock some Atkins stuff.

What specific nutrients are you after? There are plenty of good vitamins, etc, at GNC. I take a few of theirs 'home brand' ones and they're probably cheaper than buying specific Atkins ones. I'd suggest you try and figure out what Atkins uses in their supplements and get a local brand.

Thanks ahollowa,

Good idea. Pardon my ignorance but what is GNC. I'm really trying to get stuff to get my metabolism/thyroid going....nothing much is happening in the loss department at the moment and he talks about a few helpful things which I can probably get as you say, locally and cheaper.

Yogibear,

GNC = Good Nutrition Centre. They're a chain of shops that sell vitamins, protein powder, low carb bars, Atkins products, et al. There are a lot of them in Melbourne: Melbourne Central, Swanston Walk, and lots more.

I take Coenzyme Q10, a good multi, and Optidrene. Optidrene has Chromium, L-Carnatine and a few other goodies.

You just might find what you're looking for at GNC. The staff are very knowledgeable.

Hi Alison ,
Thanks. Your information was very helpful. I must make a trip in and visit one of those shops. I live on the western side so will see where the closest one is.
I bought some L-Carnatine and some Chromium picolate yesterday. It was $112 for 100g (50 days) of L-Carnatine !!!!
I would like to get onto some Coenzyme Q10 as well. It sounds like it is essential for resistent bods like me.

What does Optedrine do?

Well here's hoping it all helps.

Yogibear,

Optidrene contains Chromium, L.Carnatine, Guarana, and Caffeine. It's supposed to help metabolise fats and increase energy during exercise. I bought it instead of getting separate Chromium and L-Carnatine tablets. It's expensive, but aren't they all.

You may not want caffeine in your diet, but I don't have a problem with it.

Thanks Allison,
I've lost 1.5 kg since taking L-Carnatine and Chromium so sounds promising.
cheers
