Default My P.L.A,N. questions

Would you please tell me how to add my daily food intake? I can't seem to see where to go to add what I ate; like I had a 3 egg omlette with 5 pieces of minced tomato and 1/4 oz cheddar cheese with 1 c. decaf coffee with 2 tbs of powedered creamer. Lunch I snacked on pork rinds and dinner was pot roast with 1 1/2 c green salad with 10 pieces of minced tomatoand 4 tbs of dressing. The creamer has a total of 2carbs, and the salad dressing has a total of 4 carbs. The salad said 4 carbs for 1 1/2 but I don't know how much the cheese or the tomato has. PLEASE HELP I am feeling really stupid, but my daughter that is much better on the computer couldn't figure it out either!

Hi there,

Have you had a look through the FAQ sticky? Here is the link: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=275397

You should be able to add "egg" to your favourites, along with the contents of your salad and so on. I know it may seem confusing at first, but if you take your time and add each food item separately (and add them to your "favourites" so they'll be easy to add next time ), you'll soon get the hang of it.

If you are still confused, keep asking questions.

Thanks,I think I figured most of it out, but I do each day by looking up each item and I'm not too sure on the amounts-like on the tomatoes i mince them up and just use a few pieces not the whole thing. How do I measure my BF that one I can't figure out at all-did do my exercises at least as close to the ones that I do that I can from the available list.

You're getting there.

To measure things like your tomato, you can either buy kitchen scales if you want to be super accurate, or just estimate. My personal opinion is that it's not worth getting too worried about the exact amount. You can probably work out that you are having roughly a quarter of a tomato and so on.

Body fat can be measured in several ways. If you go to a gym, you can have it measured with calipers, otherwise there are scales that measure body fat (but can be pretty unaccurate) or you can use an online test. Whichever one you choose, just stick with the same one, because that way the changes in your body fat will be accurate. I use the online one here: http://www.healthcentral.com/choles...t-2774-143.html

Cheers,

Roz

Default I jot my food in a pda can I do a total entry?

During the day, I'm out and about, and the computer is switched off. I use a little handheld gadget to add up my foods as I go. I do most of my computer work late afternoon, when I haven't finished eating.

Anyway, the thing is that my little PDA records the food totals very accurately, and I'd like to be able to take the totals from the PDA and just put them into My Plan, wihtout having to enter each and every food in, so that I'd have a monthly view where I could compare totals with exercise and weight loss etc.

Is that possible? I've tried various things and none of them worked.
