Default Did anyone Catch Today Tonight Last Night?

Last night on channel 7 was the current affairs program 'Today Tonight'. Now on the program they featured the Atkins and Low Carb diet.. and they were saying how good it was.. check the link to the story
http://www.todaytonight.com.au/stories/372141.html
Then I noticed at the bottom of the page was a link to high protein dieting..
http://todaytonight.com.au/factfiles/121930.html
This link however.. says that it is not good.. it is I might add an old story.. and maybe they have woken up to themselves as to the correct way to diet..

Thumbs up I did

I couldnt belive my eyes.
That was probably the only positive report on LowCarbing I have ever seen. I just wish they didnt include that Dr that had to add a negative spin to it.

I know what you mean.. but that is what Dr's are taught and it is hard to find a dr to back you. I am lucky I have a lady dr who backs me 100% and wants to try it herself.

I guess it will take a long time for old habits/beliefs to die off.

But here is for hoping and getting on the way

Default Groan!!!!

I was told there was going to be something on A Current Affair and watched that!! When it was obvious there was nothing about low carb, I turned it off (can't stand mike Munro). I wish I'd have thought to check channel 7! D'oh!

Thanks for the link, Karen. Pity they had to include a naysayer. Simply saying "world research" means nothing. Of course he didn't produce any facts and figures to back up his claim that "high-fat, high-protein diets in the long term are a waste of time and can be detrimental to your health."
That's because there aren't any!

Cheers, all.

Roz

It was great to see them actually praising it.. and giving it a good report.. but as you know.. they always have to add the negetive..

What is this doctor anyway.. I bet he never had a weight problem in his life and I am sorry to say that if you haven't tried it.. Don't bag it!
