Just curious, how many are able to identify with the term "ethical omnivore" who have never thought to design a WOE for ethical reasons rather than health or taste? My guess is the majority of those who eat meat do it for its sumptuous flavor and mouthfeel. While many don't think of the health benefits of animal consumption due to nutrient density, some do and all are likely "ethical" in some way regardless of why they choose to eat animal-based foods. The choice to embrace ethics over health must be made naively unless one is willing to supplement the necessary nutrients not supplied by the food consumed in a vegan lifestyle. If supplements are not used, then ethics and health become mutually exclusive.
