You're right, but I wouldn't even give that much ground. I seriously doubt that if you've got your dietary ducks in a row, a little salami's gonna be harmful. But then, putting spam in the same class as salami's also sort of silly. Fact is, the whole class of processed meat is so varied, it might be a little silly to lump it all together.
