It doesn't matter if you have alot of weight to lose or a little. You have to do it one day at a time. Or one meal at a time.
I have lost over 50+ pounds a few years ago by LCing. Kept most of it off, but in the last 6-9 months, the pounds started to add up again. So I am back to lose 10-15 pounds. So even though my stats look like I only just started this way of eating..I have been doing it for awhile.
I am still new to the somersizing woe. I like to have oatmeal in the mornings. So if I keep my pro/fats away from the carbs I should do pretty well.
