Liv, skipping meals certainly does slow the metabolism - eating more frequent smaller meals will boost your metabolism and keep blood sugar and insulin from spiking. I realize there are constraints on the CAD program that probably prohibit this - and I am sure someone following the program will be better able to offer advice on this subject.
Water: everyone should be drinking a minimum 64 oz of water a day +8oz for every 25 lbs you wish to lose. More is better in this case - it's the water that flushes out the toxins and burned fat.
