With all these stories, wouldn't their doctors run blood tests to check all their vitamin levels and cholesterol and everything else? Or does blood work not show one's vitamin B1 levels? I know with other vitamins, my doctor is usually able to tell me that I need more calcium or other common vitamins. Of course, I eat a low carb health diet that I assume has all the good vitamins including vitamin B1 in it.
