I sometimes do this intentionally to avoid something worse. A pint of heavy cream might have 1500 calories--but a pound of peanuts has around 2500, and I don't always stop at the pound.

Also sometimes, when I'm really pushing keto, a pint of heavy cream isn't even an indulgence, it's pretty much a requirement.
