I found myself distracted from the lecture when he said americans could buy - was it in texas - a 60oz coke, a packet of doritos and a chocolate bar for 99cents! In the UK food is so expensive that you can only get a large snickers for the equivalent of 99cents. To buy the above combo would cost the equivalent of maybe $7. Not that you can get a 60oz coke here.

Edit to say that a pack of 5 fresh chicken fillets costs the aquivalent of $10. Low carb is seriously expensive here. And organic meat is even more expensive.
