I don't count my carbs either. I eat carbs separately from any fats or proteins, at different meals. Almost all my meals are no carb (not counting minute amounts in veg). So I can eat oatmeal with truvia or whole grain malt o meal for breakfast, but not added butter or fats. Then pretty much the rest of my day is fat/protein meals with veg. If I really want a carb meal, I can have a bowl of black beans with salsa, but no fats with that meal. I almost never do a carb meal except at breakfast.

I do let myself have a cheater meal on weekends - 1 each day - reserved for if we are at family get togethers. It has worked well and I've lost 10 pounds since July 8th.
