How wonderful we have two new posts! I was afraid our forum would fail. They call it the 'daily grind.' The thing we don't like to do, that grinds us down. Eating normally, healthily, moderately, and without 'trigger' foods for years... and years... and years. That is the daily grind.

The rewards of consistent low carb living are great. Great health. A normal body size. Yes, sometimes I look lustfully at treats and try to persuade myself I would only have one. But I've tried that many times before. It never works.

Sometimes I miss the high-carb treats. But there are rewards to my way of life. Things I don't miss now that I am thin - having six sizes of clothes in my closet because I was always on the way down (dieting) or on the way up (bingeing); seat belt extenders; dreading my annual physical; paying a fortune for 5X and 6X clothing; huffing and puffing my way up a single flight of stairs; high blood pressure; diabetes; sleep apnea; acid reflux disease; feeling fat and different.

For those kinds of rewards, I can put up with a few crazy thoughts.
