The Drinking Man's Diet is the first low-carb diet book I ever read/plan I ever tried, probably about 40 years ago. I love its simplicity. Used a little pocket sized gram counter I bought at the supermarket checkout line. Just never stuck with low carb back then because at the core I was conditioned to believe it was unhealthy. Flash forward 4-5 decades and it still holds up well. I have the book on Kindle, it's short and sweet, and re-read it from time to time.
