This math doesn't work. Those aren't the same ratios.

which one do I use? which one came from Dr K, and not someone else's calculations?
Hi Mizkitty, The P1:F2.5:C.8 ratio is to lose weight. The percentages would be of your total calories. The ratios are a bit wonky because fat has 9 calories per gram. Carb and protein have 4 calories per gram. I am presuming that awriter obtained these from the book. I am using her ratios.

To LOSE (edited to add this is for MY ideal weight, not anyone)
60kg x 1 gram protein = 60 gram protein = 60 x 4 = 240 calories
60kg x 2.5 gram fat = 150 gram fat = 150 x 9 = 1350 calories
60kg x .8 gram carbohydrate = 48 gram carbohydrate.= 48 x 4 = 192 calories

240 + 1350 + 192 = 1782
240 divided by 1782(/)= .13468013 (13%)
1350 / 1782 = .75757575 (77%)
192/1782 = .10774410 (11%)

Percentages never work out exact, you end up going out decimals and picking the one that's highest to round out to 100% (I had to do it in the bank for reports)

Hope this helps.
