My response to this article in the forum area:

"I am so glad that reduced-carb eating is starting to get fair media attention, rather than just being mocked as another "fad." I can't believe how little scientific evidence there really is for the low-fat dogma. Since low-carbing, I've gotten my weight back into a healthy range, my acne is under much better control, my PMS has disappeared completely, and I don't get "sugar shakes" or sleepiness during the day any more. My energy level is always high and I've never felt better. Low-carbing may not be for everyone, but low fat obviously isn't, either; and it's about time the scientific community does the right thing and *admits* that the assumptions they made 20 years ago were based on *bad* science. Thanks, Mr Taubes, for an excellent article. "
