I have a problem with small doses of magnesium causing diarrhea. I got some glycinate as it's not supposed to be as bad. But I'm taking just 100mg (1/4 of dose according to bottle) & after just a few days I'm having cramps, gas, & extra bowel movements. No diarrhea yet. I'm wondering if I continue to take it, will my gut get used to it? Should I continue a little longer or give it up?

I'm also wondering if topical magnesium or Epsom salts baths really do any good. I've not seen any more "proof" than anecdotes.

On the other hand, maybe I don't need any more magnesium than what I'm getting in my diet.
