Oh, there are more of us out here, I'm sure. My weight loss on this program (GI/GL, e.g., no white stuff like sugar, wheat, potatoes, white rice) is ve-e-e-ery slow, but I sure do feel better and cravings are, for the most part, nonexistent. But I CAN have those things if I want, just in small quantities. I usually choose not to eat them, but knowing I can removes the restriction and I don't feel deprived, which means binges are unlikely.
