I take 600mg per day of magnesium in a combination of glycinate and citrate. Taking this became immediately apparent as my leg and foot cramping during workouts went away. It's also supposed to mitigate or help regulate blood pressure, but I have no personal experience with that, or in other words, there may be a correlation, but there's also other things at work as well. Magnesium is one of the electrolytes today in which people are typically deficient due to changes in soil health and other factors. Like Janet, I take magnesium (chelated or citrate) daily along with D3; although, I lighten up a bit in the warmer months with the D3 when I'm getting maximum sun exposure.
