July 31: 278
Aug 1: 277 (Down another pound--A new low for me! New goal this month is another 10 pounds gone for my doctor's annual check-up on Sept 4th)
Aug 2: 279
Aug 3: 279
Aug 4: 279
Aug 5: 279 (The car has apparently shifted into "neutral" for now. Holding steady)
Aug 6: 279 (Still idling in neutral--might have to take this old clunker into a mechanic to get the transmission fixed here soon, if I don't start losing again)
Aug 7: 279 (So, I might as well enjoy the scenery--it looks like I'll be here for a while!)
Aug 8: 278 (Well, actually the scale read 277.8, but I don't want to get too greedy!)
Aug 9: 279 (So much for moving in the right direction--more patience and discipline will be required)
Aug 10: 279 (Gee, I hope I don't get arrested for loitering being stuck at this weight for so long!)
Aug 11: 279 (Ho-hum. Just standing around with my hands in my pockets looking confused!)
Aug 12: 278 (Hardly ate anything yesterday it seemed, so don't know how real this is--but I'll take it for now)

Aug 17: 277 (17 days ago I was at 277--drank more water than usual yesterday 'cause I worked outside)
Aug 18: 275 (Ah, revenge against that darn reverse gear. A new low!)
Aug 19: 275 (Don't say anything--somebody might notice!)
Aug 20: 275 (90th day anniversary on Atkins--down 28 lbs!)
Aug 21: 275 (Happy, happy, happy!)
Aug 22: 275 (working hard outside & sweating a lot but drinking lots of water too--I'm cool with no movement)
Aug 23: 275 (In a HOLDING PATTERN over the airport--ate two meals in restaurants yesterday and still maintained)
Aug 24: 276 (I hardly ate yesterday but I drank 4-32 oz. mugs--or a gallon--of water last evening trying to rehydrate myself)
Aug 25: 275 (I knew the 276 was only a blip on the radar because of all the water I have been consuming)
Aug 26: 273 (Not time to celebrate yet--Oh, what the heck--this is my new low of 30 lbs. lost!)
Aug 27: 273 (2 days in a row--starting to look real)
Aug 28: 273 (following the 3-day rule at the same weight, it looks like we have a winner!)
Aug 29: 274 (Oops--celebrated too soon--up a pound from eating the same but drinking lots of water I guess)
Aug 30: 274 (Only walked yesterday, no other activity because it rained all day)
