That was a good article on Dietdoctor.com. When I was testing my BG like a madman I'd often get higher AM readings than I would get throughout the day. My postmeal BG spikes were mole hills, not mountains. Postprandial BG was rarely over 100. I didn't worry about it too much and my A1c scores confirmed that all was good. So normal FBG for a carbivore is different than what is normal for a fat burning machine. I'll take my results over those that I would be getting if I followed ADA advice any day of the week.
