I am aware of the risks. For me it boils down to the risk of having dangerously high BG every morning vs the fractional risks of taking the Farxiga on a short term basis until I get my BG under control without meds.

If I can't get my BG under control within a few months without the meds I will reevaluate. I am hoping that as my weight continues to decline and I stay on a restricted carb diet, (and I am working at both very hard), that I will regain that control on my own.

My doctor has been telling me for years to go low carb and he seems to think that once my weight gets below 220 I wont need the meds anymore. For now, I'll stick with the program I am on.
