To lower LDL, I would try exercise before a low fat diet....

Low fat low carb is really hard on the body. Protein is not a good source of energy, it's job is to build and manta in muscle.

Also, processed soy products are not a great choice.

I would include things like:
Fresh edamame, miso, tofu or tempeh
Greek yogurt or cottage cheese

Higher fat things that won't harm LDL
Seeds or nuts- pumpkin seeds, almonds, peanuts, flax seed made into "bread" or crackers, etc.....nut butters like almond or peanut......
Eggs
Cheese

I also like some beans in form of hummus, but keep portions to 1/4 cup.
