Its the itching thats the problem, cos of course eventually you scratch yourself raw, bleed and end up not only with the little white patches, but streaky scratch marks. I used to scratch with a wire hairbrush when it was really bad, it was just so itchy and made such a mess of myself. I found sudocrem (nappy rash cream) was the only thing that helped - and of course steroids (my doctor prescribed me prednisolone tablets) , but they made me hungry lol!!!!!
