Dr. B has plans to update his book, Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution on which the documentary is based, as he's looking for an author who is an MD and has intimate familiarity with T1D. As for the movie, good people involved trying to change the course of the giant aircraft carrier that is the ADA. It's a crime considering the recommended foods and health objectives for people with T1D and T2D. One would almost suspect that the strategy was to designate them as lifelong hostages dependent on medical care and ever-increasing doses of pharmaceuticals, kinda like the revenue gift that keeps on giving.
