It's not a nerve pinch with bilateral hand weakness. Probably not carpal tunnel either. Sounds like osteoarthritis.
Especially thumb weakness.

If it hasn't worsened since December ... also points to arthritis.

Consider strengthening exercises and not over doing work with your hands.

You shouldn't have wrist pain or MCP pain (knuckles). Or stiffness.

This doesn't sound like neuropathy.
