I get this calf ache/burn all the time. I got a roller (looks like styrofoam) from a local sports medicine doc, I usually will roll out my hips and my entire legs after running. The roll out can be painful, but its definitely effective. I think you can also get one of these rollers from Target also. Good Luck!
