I loved that book! It was amazing to see the kind of industrial crap that passes for "organic" nowadays.

Two other books that really opened my eyes:

"Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver. Like ImOnMyWay, her family decided that if the only meat they could get was factory farmed, they would be vegetarian. This book covers a year of living on local food.

"The Revolution Will Not Be Microwaved" by Sandor Katz. Sandor Katz is the author of "Wild Fermentation" and he's one of my personal heroes. He's got an open mind and a big heart. This book covers just about every aspect of food in the modern industrial world, but it's an easy, fun read. And surprisingly upbeat considering the subject matter.
