Another additive that most people don't think about is aspartame. I find it in numerous things. Ten years ago or so, it was/is in children's chewable vitamins. I wouldn't buy them because aspartame acts like x lax to me. It is now in most Wrigley's gum. The regular gum. Right along with the sugar. They didn't change the general label, although it is in the ingredients. I found out when I chewed a piece of my Dh's gum. If it doesn't have aspartame, it has acesulfame K.
