I haven't read that book, but have long believed the cholesterol scare was hooey.

I posted elsewhere about the current commercial with Dr. Jarvik (inventor of the artificial heart) and his support of statins. He's got such a cute little elf face, and with his reputation, a lot of people will fall for the lies he tells. Too bad. Of course, it might just keep up the demand for his artificial heart!
