Coffee

I'd like to, but I'm up to my eyeballs....I've got so much work to do that if I stop, I'll be too tired to start again...and no end in sight for at least a month. I REALLY REALLY want some time off. It wouldn't be so bad if at least I were making loads of money, but alas...all this energy just to stay in the same place!

Oh, well, as I've mentioned before, at least it beats working at McDonalds. I don't have to ask my students if they'd like fries with that. And it's still a complete trip having them call me "Dr." and watching them kowtow to my superior wisdom (NOT!).

Marking essays is so boring, though, especially when half of them are so badly written I can't puzzle out what they're saying....

Enough ranting. At least I don't crave chocolate anymore, even when I'm tired.

Hopefully I'll have time to enjoy another get-together soon. In the meantime, there's always this wonderful forum!

Re: Coffee

I might be mistaken, but I got a feeling that you're a bit busy? LOL

:p

Busy....?

Gee, Wa'il, whatever gave you that idea? :)

Rachel

PS: Not that I don't want to have coffee. You know, an evening would work better for me these days, especially since I'll probably be working Sundays the next month or so. Is that an option?

Is that an option? Let's see, Vancouverites have done at least 4 dinners, a Xmass party and 1 potluck so far, so what's stopping us from doing another one, especially that Karen's coming back soon!

Hi Guys!

I'm back and ready to rumble. Sunday night would be fine for me. Dinner, potluck, decaff coffee...

Hi, Karen!

Welcome back!

Sunday evening (the 11th) would work fine for me, but I don't think I'll have time for much more than a coffee. Can we meet somewhere near Davie/Denman/Robsonish? That way I don't have to take the bus or walk too far. Sorry, but I really AM pushed for time these days.

Welcome back Karen!

Sunday evening is fine with me too.

Hey Guys,

Now I have to bow out. I have a deadline for an article on Monday, and Sunday is the only day I have for writing. Boo-hoo.

Saturday night?

Is Saturday evening OK for you, Karen? Wa'il? Is there another evening that's better? I don't mind a weeknight, either, if that works better.
Rachel

Karen Fri, Mar-09-01 10:52

No, I work Saturday nights. How about the 25th or 26th?

Karen

r.mines Sat, Mar-10-01 10:37

We'll get it right eventually!

Good heavens, we ARE busy, aren't we? All these conflicting schedules.... the 25th or 26th (evenings only, though) are OK, but maybe we can meet sooner? I tell you what, I'll just throw out the times I'm available, and probably we can match up somewhere down the line. So here goes!

Basically, evenings - any evening - weekdays or weekends. I won't be available during the days for another three weeks or so because I'm working 7 days a week. Why don't I have any money?

How about next Wednesday evening then, barring any disasters?

Karen

Wednesday evening works fine for me. What shall we do? Stepho's?

r.mines Sat, Mar-10-01 22:18

We have contact!

By 'next Wednesday' do you mean the 14th? That's fine for me. Steffo's is fine for me too - walking distance. Shall we say 6:30 ish?

Rachel
