induction for college students

just wondering if anyone in college has successfully gone through induction and if you think it's a wise choice...i'm not going to try and hold myself to strict atkins standards, but would it be a good idea to start with induction anyway?

I think Induction is a great way to start out because it helps get rid of all the nasty cravings and gets you off to a great start. As a student, I'd recommend doing a bit of planning first - do you prepare your own food? eat at a cafeteria? do you need to shop for LC snacks to have on hand (cheese, meat, etc.) Is it more realistic for you to eat lower carb for a couple of weeks and then use the Christmas break to do a clean induction?

Be prepared for the fact that you might feel crummy for the first few days .... I probably wouldn't start Induction during exam week, especially if you're cutting out caffeine like you should :D .... but once you get through those few days, hopefully you'll be one of the fortunate and receive some of that great energy that most feel once they're LC'ing it. You'll be amazed at how much you can do when you *feel* healthy!

Good luck!

yeah, waiting till christmas break makes sense, especially since i'm going to new york the week of exams...i think i'll wait till i get back on the 20th. how hard do you think it will be to do induction during meals and parties for christmas? and, do you have any tips on making the best of a bad situation (eating at restaurants, etc.) during induction?
