Drink all of it that you can stomach, as long as you don't you any sweetener.

Timco you STAR!!! - thank you for your reply.....i''ve been GUZZLING down the stuff, Jasmine green tea is lovely - it has a delicate perfumed flavour.
Anyway been on the fat fast since monday and lost 5 pounds (might just be water but hey after a stall of about 2 months it's nice to see those numbers head in a downwards direction at last! - my morale has been boosted!)
thanks again mate! - good luck with your regime!

Congrats on breaking that stall. A good way to tell if it's water weight is to buy those ketone testing strips. I have found that doing a fat or meat fast turns them the most satisfying deep purple color.

As far as the green tea, I brew 3 gallons at a time and keep it in the fridge and drink iced green tea all day. The stuff is addictive.

Good luck with your fat fast!

Hello again mate!
have never used those strips but my breath has been smelling "that way" so perhaps thats a good sign!
another thing, i know that green tea is fantasically healthy what with all those brilliant antioxidants etc, etc but does it also speed up metabolism thus promoting weightloss? - also how much caffeine does it contain compared to normal tea? lovin' the jasmin variety...i'm gonna try ur iced tea idea sounds fab!!! -
take care Timco!

This should answer your question about metabolic effect of green tea:

From what I have read, green tea seems to produce a weight loss effect that is attributable to more than just the caffeine content of the tea (not sure how much caffeine is in it, by the way - but I think it depends largely on what variety of tea you are drinking). I brew decaf green tea, but I did just order some regular green tea and I think I will try mixing it with the decaf for a little bit of an energy boost.
