If you have someone in your ignore list, can they still see posts in your journal?

Also, is there a way to make a journal private?

Hi. The "ignore" feature only allows you to ignore other members, and their posts will not be visible to you - members you ignore can still see your posts. It doesn't work like a Facebook block, unfortunately.

There is no way to make a journal private, although it IS only visible to registered members while they are logged in. If you're looking for a private journal, you're best to go off-site. I used to recommend LiveJournal, now I use Dreamwidth.org . There are lots of other journaling sites, many of which use LiveJournal's open-source code.
