No Scale Movement on Weight Lifting Program

Hey guys,

Having a really hard time not getting discouraged.

I'm in ketosis (per the Ketostix strips) and I'm doing great at the gym. Hitting mini goals (jogging at the gym and then lifting weights after). I'm doing less reps with more resistance as I want to build muscle. I've noticed an increase in strength from the last two weeks. I'm doing great.

However, I used to be a religious scale weigher; daily. I liked to see what effect foods that i ate the previous day had over my body. But now of course I'm seeing absolutely no movement from the scale, even though I'm still in ketosis and still just hitting the gym.

For my active LCers, do you guys weigh yourself? If so, how often? It IS a relatively new program so I imagine my body is also trying to adjust. I'm so darned impatient. :P

I reached 200 from 335 , with moderate exercise and then I lifted and started yoga and running...I am now 170 but I am stronger and fitter....It takes time, you will feel stronger and less tired..But, the scale will stay the same or move slow when it does, but it will.

hide your scale, lol but seriously. don't weight yourself, muscle weighs more then fat. I myself am going to try to hide my scale til my pants start falling down.

are you also measuring inches with a tape measure? inches plus pounds on the scale will tell you if you're adding pounds of muscle while losing pounds of fat.

what if you lose 1 pound of fat
and gain 1 pound of muscle.

the scale will be the same.

The inches might show the improvement in body composition.

But 1 pound of fat loss, spread out over hips and waist and bust, you might not be able to tell if you MEASURE DAILY, ha ha impatient I know what that's like.
