Hi I'm Sandy

Hi there,

I am 42 and have succeeded at every diet I've ever tried (and I've tried them all)..... Until I ultimately fail and gain it all back.

I feel best eating LC/primal style, but honestly I just can't give up grains/sweets completely. I feel best grain/dairy free, but can't seem to sustain it. And it makes me feel like I am failing at yet another diet. So disheartening...

Looking at CALP as a potential, I am re-reading the book. I had success on CAD in my early 30s (ten years ago or so), but I used my one hour RM as a one hour binge. But of all the 'diets' I've tried, I maintained a healthy weight on CAD for over 2 years.

Ugh sorry to be so negative, but just feel I can't face yet another diet and another failure.

Any good links or threads you can recommend?

Any comments you'd like to add?

Hi Sandy,

If you search around the boards you'll find others doing CAD, CALP. That's great you've had success in the past.

Hi Sandy-

this is a great WOL, but you will be more successful, IMHO, if you do a balanced RM and not overcarb. You might want to read CALP, or Healthy for Life. Looking at your stats you are really close to what you want to weigh, so Healthy for Life might really appeal to you as less of a diet.
Come over to the HOur Power thread and see what we are up to-

Thanks LIzzy and Enomarb.

I have been searching around this forum and doing some reading.

I agree with the balanced RM Eno, which is why I'm re-reading CALP and not CAD. Need a better balance in my 40s :)
