Shout out for Neanderpam!

Neanderpam....does the OB/GYN near me that doesn't want a lot of thyroid patients have the initials K.C. by chance?
Just curious. I have a GREAT, GREAT new endo in Raleigh so my thyroid situation is finally improving. She raised me, no questions, even though my FT-3 was high. I told her I took my Naturethroid that day and she said "Well, I'll just ignore the FT-3 reading then!" My TSH is under 1.0 and she still raised me, based on my symptoms! An endo - a decent one - they DO exist!!!!!

Now, I need a new OB/GYN that at least "understands" the thyroid disorder and how it effects my overall "hormone health." The ND/MD that did my ablation last year is just too weird (in Morehead City.) He also pushes a LOT of his natural remedies, and though that is probably fine, being from the Western world, I am still suspicious. He also said to me that my "lifestyle factors" are what caused my Hashimoto's. I didn't like that since 4 of 5 in my family have the disease and we all have very different lifestyles....period. He also said something that alluded to a cure (as opposed to being properly managed.) I am stuck between the two worlds but I don't need him now for thyroid advice.

I am still not convinced I have found a good BHRT doctor though. The name of the place is HRC in Raleigh. If you have heard anything good, please let me know. If not, please PM me. Decent doctors around here are very scarce, much less ones that understand hormones (precursors, etc.). Now that I feel like I might finally be getting "some" measure of control over my thyroid dilemma, I feel like I can finally work on my other hormone imbalances. However,I am being very cautious on who I will trust. Having been exposed to DES in utero and my mother having phlebitis, I have to make sure I am doing what is best (so I am in serious research mode!)

Thank you in advance!!! (oh yeah - hey Nancy! )
