What page is the chocolate bar found on? It is not on page 258 as my book only has 175 pages. Is there another book and I have the wrong one!

Thanks for any help...

Oh by the way I love the book!

Lexi

I'm afraid you have a different book. The one referenced here is by Karen Barnaby.

Thanks Allison....my book is by Karen Barnaby just shorter!

It has the same cover photo (clams) but only 100 or so recipes.

That's really bizarre. I didn't know they even made abridged versions of cookbooks.

I just checked my copy of Karen's book -- it's 175 pages as well, counting the index! I wonder how many other recipes those of us with the shorter version are missing.

Lexi25 Tue, Mar-31-09 09:46

Well I don't have the Chocolate Bar recipe, that I wanted in this copy of Karen's book!

Is it a hardcover vs softcover thing?

The one I got the recipe from is hardcover:
http://www.amazon.ca/Low-Carb-Gourm...38519527&sr=8-1

and this one is paperback:
http://www.amazon.ca/Low-Carb-Gourm...38519527&sr=8-8
Paperback: 176 pages

Mine has 328 pages.

I wonder if it would be okay to copy the recipe for you?

Dark Chocolate Bars

At risk of copyright violation, I'm gonna do it. I'm going to skip the long intro, though, and abbreviate some of the directions. There're also variations for milk chocolate and white. Let me know if you need those.

I really like this book a lot and use it frequently. If the softcover only has 175 pages and is clearly missing at least this recipe, I'd just bite the bullet and order a used one from amazon.

Notice also that at the very top of each page in the forum there's a green bar. Click on recipes. There's a whole slew of Karen's recipes there that mostly go unnoticed.

Allison....thank you and you are right, this is a great book. I will most likely buy the hardcoverd one and this paperback copy will make a nice gift for my daughter. She will love lamb recipes.....

I'm off to make chocolate bars!!!!

Do not post printed recipes!

Sorry! I did order my very own copy of the full book!
I must say that I am looking forward to reading it as well as cooking from it!
