JaysDays Must Start Again

I have been a bad girl. I let stresses get to me and I didn't stick to the program. Thankfully, I still haven't gained any weight. Why oh why did I stop?

Well, tomorrow is a new day. I can start again. I think I will go back to logging my foods as that was very helpful in the beginning.

I have decided to readjust my weight goal also. I don't know...but right now looking at that 135 just seems impossible.

Good for you for not waiting too long to get right back to working towards your goal. If you quit, you have no chance of achieving that goal ;)

You'll get to your goal. Stick with it. LC eating is so much healthier. Pick yourself up and you'll soon be on your way like before.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am going to keep trying.

Alright, my new strategy is to think about my meals in the morning so I have an idea what I will eat throughout the day.

Today I am planning:
B: coffee, cream
L: cheesy burger bake (I found at genaw.com), green salad with dressing
RM: tilapia, flour tortilla, green beans, greek yogurt w/ raspberries

I am signing off. Just feel led to be accountable to myself for once in my life and not to others. But the encouragement here has been really nice. Best wishes.

JaysDays

It's been a month since I last posted. I am still finding my way on this plan. I have been trying new things to see what works best. I realize that desserts are my downfall and that I need more protein esp. at breakfast and lunch.

I have decided to revisit things here. What I mean is that I will post my menus even if it is just for the sake of seeing things in writing. It is amazing that seeing what you eat written on paper (or computer screen) can make a difference.

So here I go again....

B: salmon, radishes/onions, squeeze of lemon juice, coffee/cream
L (RM): roasted chicken on a bun (sandwich thins), salad (lettuce, radishes, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, italian dressing), coffee/cream
D: baked pork chop, onion cream sauce, salad (lettuce, radishes, cucumbers, ranch dressing)

looks great! That breakfast is one I love to have- to feel pampered when everyone else is having all kinds of carbs. When I am on a cruise (went to Bermuda this year) that is my breakfast of choice!!I never felt deprived not having pancakes and pastry and rolls. I also have sour cream or cream cheese with it.
Glad you are back posting-

The breakfast I had on Christmas - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and lemon cream was an eye opener for me. I've not been a fan of smoked salmon, but this was incredibly good. I think you'd like the lemon cream too - here is the recipe: (from Bon Appetit):
2 tablespoons sour cream
3/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon (packed) finely grated lemon peel
1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme (I used homegrown, dried lemon thyme)

Mix sour cream, fresh lemon juice, finely grated lemon peel, and chopped fresh thyme in small bowl. Season lemon cream to taste with salt and pepper. You then drizzle this atop the thinly sliced smoked salmon you've just topped your scrambled eggs with. Delicious!

D: chicken wings, broccoli with cheese sauce

Snap. I deliberately came off the diet over xmas but found that I don't feel great - so am going back on it. Breakfast is my main problem as I tend to love/need porridge! Am trying to use breakfast as my one proper meal and stay low carb the rest of the day, but it's not always that simple LOL
