Liquid Iodine Supplement
 

I bought some 2% Lugol's Iodine solution to use as a supplement. I'm not sure how to take it though. I've read differing opinions about how much is or isn't absorbed through skin. I put a drop in a glass of water and it made the water taste awful.

There's all sorts of information about liquid iodine available from a quick google search but I can't find anything on how to actually use it. Should I just gag a drop in a glass of water down? Put it on my skin? I'm not sure. Any ideas?
