Anniversary
My 2 year anniversary is on its way, less than a month away. I have been reflecting, and can't believe its been that long. Smoking had been a major part of my life.

Congratulations, Cyn! I am so glad you don't have that monkey on your back and that your health has improved.
I had a BF years ago who worked in a lab at UCSD. He showed me 2 gallon-size glass jars, each with dissected human lungs in them...one of a smoker, one of a non-smoker. The smoker's lungs were BLACK. You have to wonder how a person can even breathe like that! |
3 more days. Gone are the asthma attacks, the bronchitis, the shortness of breath, coughing up blood, etc. I sure do miss it, would be lying if i said i didn't miss the comfort or the destresser that smoking gave me.

Congratulations! It's so hard to do, but I swear it's the best gift you could ever give yourself. And you're doing fantastic on the weight-loss front as well. How are you going to reward yourself?

not even thinking of reward as of yet. Thank you!

Another year. When I look at the actual date 2009 seems like Ive been smoke free for along time. However, Ive noticed it feels like yesterday. I work on it every day, not smoking. My issue since I quit, snacking or eating when Id smoke to relax. I have yet to find something that replaces that feeling I had when I smoked. That just for me time, it helped that it was calorie free.
