Could anyone tell me how much Splenda to substitute if I'd like to use it instead of Equal tablets? In other words, if a recipe called for 5 tablets of Equal.....how much Splenda would I use instead? I'm looking to use it in the ketchup recipe. Thank you.

hi Connie,
One Equal tablet equals the sweetness of 1 tsp sugar. So you'd use an amount of Splenda that gives the equivalent sweetness. If you're using bulk Splenda from the box, then you'd use 5 tsp for this recipe. Or you'd use 2½ of the little packets/sachets if you use those, since one packet = 2 tsp sweetness.

Doreen

Doreen,
Many thanks to you for the info. My husband LOVES ketchup and overdoes it on steaks and other meats. In low carbing, this will help tremendously! I sure do love this forum! Connie
