I am pretty sure I have fibro and may have more arthritis than I know. I do know I have SAD.
All I know is I drove to my Mom's during the holidays (3 hours each way), and have been in horrible pain since. Everywhere. And my eye problems are back with a vengeance, expecially in the morning.
Can anyone tell me what to expect? I feel pretty good about this guy so far. He wanted all my medical records before my appointment so he could get a picture of the whole person.

What type of eye problems are you having? It could be that the long car ride caused a flare up. This might sound weird, but I have found that getting my hair cut causes a flare up. Not from that actual hair cut, but from the shampooing. The way the sink hits my neck, it must hit a tender spot, and the next day, I always get a flare up. Weird, huh? I also can tell when I am going to get a flare up, because my elbows hurt.
Good luck at the rhuemetologist, let us know how it goes!!

see the post from Feb 7. I finally got to the dr.
Regarding the eye problems, my vision gets blurry, my eye gets very dry and itchy, and it swells up. (I say "it" becuase the right one is much worse than the left one). Last summer, I had a very severe infection/corneal erosion/corneal cyst problem. After that, my vision starting changing really quickly. The eye doctor didn't know why.
But the rheumatologist suspects it might be Sjorgren's syndrome. She is also checking me for lupus (because I get sunburned so easily now...even with sun block on) and rheumatoid arthritis.
