Actually these get togethers are really great. Following this WOE/WOL while socializing with non low-carbers is quite hard, you have to "defend" your choice of food and it WILL be part of the discussion.

So when dining with low-carbers, things get back to normal, fun, laughter and no hassle. Everyone should do it! :)

I would think it would be fun and supportive. Back in the seventies I use to be invovled with CB Radio and we use to have get togethers with that. What fun we would have.

Orillia isn't that big, so I doubt I will find anyone here on the net, but hey, you never know!

How in heavens name did you get the little guy up under your name? (Oh heck forget his name lol). I was trying last night (Bored hehehe) and couldn't get the sexy one I wanted to appear....lol.

While I'm at it, can one put their own pic under their name? I wouldn't mind doing that also. Its kinda nice to see who one is talking to.

Here's how to get a pic next to your name:

Click on the "Profile" icon above. Then click on "Edit Options". All the way down you'll see a button "Change Avatar" You'll be able to choose from a large list of pics. If you prefer to use a different pic, you click on the "Yes" buttton where it says "Use custom Avatar". You can either type a link to the pic you want to use, or upload from your computer with the "Browse" button.

Let me know if it fails for some reason.

Not sure what to do here, I'm from Arnstein Ontario, been low carbing for a month, with Dr. Atkins. I have lost 9 lbs so far, need to lose 61 more (a lot I know) Keep on carbing........Bev

Nice to hear from you. You have done so well with losing the 9 lbs. Be patient and keep up the good work. Didn't take over night to put our weight on you know ;)

Why not go over to the introduction thread and intoduce yourself to everyone. Great support here. I also keep a journal and you might want to too, great way to keep track of what your eating and doing. Lots of journals to read too, which may give you some ideas on foods etc.

Welcome to a wonderful source of info and inspiration. The "tips" and "recipes" are excellent. Visiting here every day has kept me on the straight and narrow and after four months on this wol I can say that it doesn't even seem like a "diet" anymore, rather just the way I eat.

Having battled weight and done every "diet" in the book over the years, it is wonderful to finally just eat differently and carry on without the stress of a difficult regime. I'm so glad I started to lowcarb!
