Hi there everyone- especially other struggling Aussies.

I am currently on the hunt for some software that allows you to enter recipes and calculate the carbs etc... given that we can't always find what we need I am hoping that I might be able to play around a little on the PC by substituting ingredients and find out what the effects will be on carbs -I figure it is preferable to going without or risking it . I haven't made a great search yet as I am hoping someone will know without me expending heaps of effort.

Will keep everyone posted with anything I find out.

Greetings, AussieJo.

I use MasterCook (by Sierra Software) for entering recipes and playing around with Ingredients. I'm using Version 4 but Versions 3 through 5 do the job quite well.

Hope that helps?

Judi,

Bought Mastercook 6.0 today, and have to say I am impressed. I honestly think this will help sort my problem out with substitutes for some of those exotic ingredients we can't get over here (or those I don't like for that matter.)

Must say it was very interesting to see the nutritional information for a few of the old family recipes!

Thanks for the advice

Joanne
