hello, does anyone have any idea about onion flakes, onion powder and shallots. They have a nice strong flavour and I thought they would br good in dips etc.
Thanks:confused:

Hi Shelley

I checked the nutrition count in my Mastercook program. Here's what I got.

Per 1 tablespoon:
Onion flakes 2.9 g carbs, 0.3 g fibre
Onion powder 5.2 g. carbs 0.4g fibre
Shallots (fresh)1.5 g carbs 0.2 g. fibre

Onion powder is the highest because it is so finely ground. You would probably use way less of it than either of the others.

Hope this helps.
