I was looking at my feet the other day and I thought, that's odd, my toes look longer. Then I went to buy a new pair of shoes, and I was down a half a size. Now I am wondering, did my FEET lose weight? Seems impossible, but then again, I have lost weight in my hands, so . . .
Kind of fun and funny! Didn't think I'd have to buy all new shoes at the end of this journey, just thought maybe pants!!

Yes! This gives me something to look forward to. Ever since I was young, I had very wide feet even though I wasn't heavy then. As a morbidly obese woman I'd have to buy shoes in a 7 ww .. 1/2 size bigger for the extra width on top of the extra width! LOL As I'm losing, I notice I have to pull the laces on my walking shoes tighter and tighter. Since your feet have become thin, it gives me hope that one day I too will have the joy of perusing the wide variety of footwear out there rather than always asking "which ones come in WW"?

My feet have definnitely shrunk. I used to wear an 8, 8W, or 7 1/2W depending on the cut, but now I usually am in a straight 7 1/2 (I do sometimes still need wide). Many of the shoes I bought in the spring are now too big. I wish I'd thought of that, because I figured... hey, one thing I can spend money on is shoes, right? Who outgrows them?
Well, I did ;)

I've lost a size and a half!!!
I was a 9, now I'm a 7 1/2 again!!!! I have shoes that fly off my feet now and some that were too narrow and pinchy that fit comfortably now.
My ring size, btw, has gone from a 6.5 to a 4.5!

Someone should have warned us! All that faulty "well at least I can buy shoes" reasoning! Wow, a size and a half--that's amazing! I assumed that shoe size was a bony structure/not variable kind of thing.
Right before starting this diet I spent $200 to get my wedding ring enlarged. Another mistake!

When I saw this thread I started laughing out loud. Just yesterday my husband looked and me and said "hey, your ankles are back!"
Of course I gave him a punch in the arm, but your right.. feet and ankles DO lose weight too!

My favorite pair of dress shoes are now fitting with out wearing really thin dress socks. Now I can wear them in the winter with thicker black socks comfortably.

I lost half a size and the requirement for "wide" shoes....
I also have much smaller fingers and wrists. The rings that used to be tight on my ring finger is loose on the my index finger now. I use a smaller set of holes on my watch straps and wear smaller bracelets.

My shoe size went from a size 11 to a 10 maybe 9 1/2 depends on the make. I also have to have my wedding rings sized have already put in the sizer bar things and now they are still too loose. I am afraid that they will fall off my finger some day.

My shoe size has gone from a 10W to an 8-1/2 regular. My ring size has gone from a 10 to a 6.5---I fully expected to lose clothing sizes, I was NOT expecting to need all new shoes :)

My shoe size went from a size 11 to a 10 maybe 9 1/2 depends on the make.. :) Me too!! I only wear men's shoes, or shop at Payless because my feet are hard to fit right now....I can't wait to be a 9.5 again!

I don't know about SHRINKING but I do know my feet have gotten bigger since I gained weight. So I'd believe it!!

Just wanted to add my two cents worth....
I didn't realize how much my ankles and feet were swollen until I started losing weight on the "right diet" for me!! (this one, of course :D ) Just before I started on this weight plan I special ordered a pair of shoes in triple width just so my feet would feel comfortable in shoes...for a change.....but by the time they had arrived I realized that my feet had shrunk and I no longer needed the extra width. Silly me...I kept the shoes, thinking I could still get good wear out of them by wearing several pairs of thick socks with them....but then the weather changed and I didn't get a chance to try out that theory until it got colder again. By the time I realized that I couldn't wear the shoes NO MATTER WHAT I tried....it was too late to return them for a refund.....I think I'll just send them back to the company and see what they do...maybe I can get credit? They still sell the brand and style......it's worth a try, I guess.....
