I have been trying to find a recipe for lemon pepper chicken wings that I can bake, that would have the ingredients of lemon pepper, butter, garlic...I love hot wings, but wanted to try something different...Anybody know of a good one? Would like real lemony ones

I have made the before just seasoning the wings with garlic powder and lemon pepper seasoning. Bake until crispy turning frequently. Sorry I don't have an actual recipe, but they were really really good! You could squeeze lemon juice over after they're done, but I didn't feel the need for it. I didn't use any butter, either.

But here's something I found:

I marinate wings in Tamari sauce and McCormick's "Lemon Herb) seasoning, sprinkle more lemon herb on, and bake/broil them until they're well done. Don't need butter with the natural oil that's in the wings.

Haven't done them in a while. Thanks for the reminder!

we eat alot of baked chicken, mostly legs, and it is always crispy, not as much as fried chicken would be, but pretty good for baked. i just lay the chicken out in a 9x13, spray the chicken liberally with pam, sprinkle whatever spices i want, usually garlic pepper or lemon pepper liberally over the chicken, and spray a little more pam on top. comes out crispy every time :) and oh my, cleanup is a cinch :)

PlayDoh - How long do you cook the chicken legs for, and is it at 375?

The stores around here often put chicken legs on sell so we buy a lot of them to pinch pennies. I am always trying to find good ways of cooking things that don't involve adding carbs with sauces and such.

I cook my wings at 450 for 45 minutes. I turn them over after 15 min. Just lay on a baking sheet, season, add butter or olive oil and rub the spices in well and then bake.

hi ladybelle :D

i usually cook chicken legs at 350 for an hour. the ones we get from costco are usually good sized and i am always paranoid about them being fully cooked. an hour leaves the legs tender and juicy still, and well crisped on top, especially when it is a finer grind of spices. i like it well spiced, so i literally coat the top with seasoning and as long as it isn't too heavy in the pepper department, that is fine. especially since the rest of the family pulls the skin off anyway. high fat doncha know ;) that is what we are having tonight, one of my favorites :D i hope that helps. oh, my husband actually likes it cooked longer, 350 for about an hour and fifteen minutes, but to me that is way overcooked and by then it pulls right off of the bone.
