I have a couple recipes that call for Carb Solution vanilla shake mix. My local stores do not sell it. I can get it on line, but before I do that I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an easy, common substitute that I could use instead. I 've never used or purchased any protein shake mixes. Thanks!

It's Carb Solutions (just so you have an easier time of searching for it online, for example).

Here's a quick link for you (got it off Google with "carb solutions protein powder" search words) where you can see the details at the bottom of the page about what's in the can (of Carb Solutions Creamy Vanilla protein powder or 'shake mix'):
drugstore.com/carb solutions/creamy vanilla pp (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=68838&catid=50365&brand=20128&trx=PLST-0-BRAND&trxp1=50365&trxp2=68838&trxp3=1&trxp4=0&btrx=BUY-PLST-0-BRAND)

So, bottom line is any brand of low carb (check the carb count on the Nutrition Facts label) blended protein powder, including soy protein isolate and whey protein isolate, will probably work in your recipes very well.

Hope this helps.
