I am starting the Low Carb diet today. I need a buddy or buddies to encourage me to get my life back. I am now 235 pounds an I would like to go down to 175 lbs.

Welcome Clsingh,

A good way to get a buddy or buddies is to start a journal, recording what you are eating (don't forget to include quantities) and drinking as well as how you are feeling on a daily basis. People pop in and out with suggestions, helpful hints and plain downright encouragement.

Also, take the time to read your way through all the helpful hints sections and other stuff on this site. There is so much helpful information here. Gauranteed you will be wanting to ask questions that have already been asked so do some reading first. However, don't be afraid to ask questions. There are quite a few very knowledgable people here who are very willing to share and help.

Good luck on your journey!
